This year, Strictly Dance Zone presents to you Waves 17: The Queen: an Untold Fairytale.

Giving a twist to the classic fairytale of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, SDZ is bent on telling the world the untold tale that revolves around the common misconception that everyone has of the infamous Queen.

You thought she was the bad guy?

Think again.

Camp Fees and AGM

Hi all, please note that collection for camp fees are due tomorrow, 6pm at MPH!

For those still uninformed about the camp, the details are as follows:


Date: 12-14th June 2012
Venue: Singapore Poly
$15 (camp fees)

It is not an overnight camp and like last year, the last day would be spent at Sentosa.

For year 3s and alumni who want to settle their own food etc., you don't have to pay the $15 camp fee.

Also, details for this year's AGM:

Date: 7th June 2012
Venue: MLT10
Time: 6.30PM onwards


This is a compulsory event for all year 1s to year 3s. Alumni are highly encouraged to come down for the AGM. There won't be any performances for AGM this year.

Bboy Auditions

We're done with the hip hop auditions! Good luck to all those who auditioned, we'll be notifying you of the results soon. Thank you for trying out!

Please note that tomorrow's the bboy auditions! Those who registered at the CCA booth should've gotten a text regarding their auditions already. If you haven't received it kindly drop us an email.

Venue to report at: Rock Wall (near the squash court)
Reporting time: 30mins before audition time

Please be in comfortable clothing for the auditions. NO SLIPPERS ALLOWED

Hip Hop Auditions

A gentle reminder to those who have signed up for the hip hop auditions that it's on this coming Monday, 7th of May. The venue would be at the rock wall opposite the SPSU clubrooms. You should have received text messages today regarding the auditions so if you have not, please drop us an email!

For those who do not have dance background (have gotten a number of queries regarding this), don't fret! Everyone has a fair chance on the day of the auditions. Don't worry/panic/stress/rush and just give it your all.

Good luck everyone and see you @ the rock wall on Monday! DON'T BE LATE!

CCA Drive 2012

Hey y'all! Our booth will be located at the walkway outside Moberly so catch us there! Don't forget to sign up for our bboy/modern/hip-hop auditions if you're interested!

Also, we'll be having performances at 3pm on Thursday and 3.30pm on Friday at Theatre@Mob (the outdoor stage area around where all the CCA booths are allocated).

For those who were wondering - and asking about it at the booth this afternoon - we'll get back to you again about the auditions pretty soon so don't you worry.

Strictly Dance Zone

Welcome to the SDZ blog!

For those who don't know, we're Strictly Dance Zone -- a.k.a. SDZ -- a bunch of dancing enthusiasts from Singapore Polytechnic.

We do 3 genres, mainly hip hop, modern dance and bboy.

If you are a current SP student, do check out our booth during the coming CCA Drive from 25th-27th April at Moberly. We will also be having performances at Theatre@Mob.

Also, our auditions for AY12/13 are coming up! Registration's at the booth!
